crib mobile is it safe ?

I have a mobile from. Babies R US on my registry but my sister told me that mobile's are no longer safe due to a choking hazard the child can pull it or something is this true two people no longer use mobile's?

Not unsafe unless you're hanging your mobile crazy low

Ummm...mobiles are high up. No newborn or even 6 month old can get to it. Even if they ate a year old and stand up,  they can barely reach it..
I have one and every pregnant woman I know has one. .. my daughter is 14 weeks old and there's NO WAY IN HELL SHE CAN REACH IT

Ours loves to look at his. Leaving in there until probably 6 months or he csn sit up and reach (longer is my guess )

It doesn't sit in the crib, until they reach the age they can stand and grab it the baby will be fine
