Ask if you'll even need a hospital bag

Veronica
The hospital I work for (where I'm delivering) provides almost everything we'll need. The nurses advised me not to bring much because we only stay for 24 hours. In fact a change of clothes is all they recommended.

I know they give every mom a diaper bag filled with diapers (your choice of Huggies or Pampers), wipes, pacifiers, onesies, blankets, heavy and regular pads, breast pads, lanolin cream, hats, mittens, a thermometer, baby wash, a hair brush and a picture frame with the hospital logo on it. They also encourage you to take anything left in the room, open or not because they are not allowed to reuse/save anything for the next person.
