Gender blood test
So I just left my OB's and they took some blood for the test to check for DS and it also detects the male or female chromosome.
I was so nervous about the accuracy BUT I talked to the nurse about it. Here is what she said:
If it comes back as a boy, there is no doubt that it is a boy. Because there would be no other reason a Y chromosome would be in a female's blood.
If it comes back as a girl, there is under a 5% chance that it could be wrong but they've never mistaken at that location.
So this helped me and I hope it helps others who may be nervous!
