Birth Control help?!!

So I started a new birth control last Sunday and I've been taking it regularly. Well today I started bleeding... is that normal or should I call my doctor? I've never been on the pill before because after having my daughter I got the IUD put in right away and never had a period with that until I got it taken out in July last year! I'm just a little concerned with this new birth control! Has this happened to anyone before?! 😩
