Who is right?

Ms
My sister was complaining about something and my aunt responded to her with "well that's a part of life." My sister got all sorts of pissed off and responded with "I never asked for this. I didn't ask for life."
I told her that it was quite offensive to say something like that, and she should really take our mom's feelings into consideration. I know if my daughter ever said something like that it would break my heart. She is my whole world, so to hear that she resents the fact that I gave her life, well that would crush me. I'm sure my mom feels the same way.
So I told my sister she needed to think before she said things like that, and she should take into consideration how hurtful that statement would be to be woman who gave her life.
She disagrees and insists she's allowed to say that because it's how she feels.
Who is right in this situation? I understand where she's coming from, she can have whatever opinion she wants. But she should still be careful
what she goes around saying; there is no need to hurt my mother by advertising her hatred of life itself.
