38.6 weeks: reduced movement?

Question

I know she's running out of space, but this morning and yesterday she hasn't really been moving as much. I'm a FTM, so everything she does worries me 😅

I heard reduced movement could mean labor's near, but I'm so worried something could be wrong. Is something wrong or is she just outta space? I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning, but should I wait that long?

As long as you can count 10 kicks, rolls, or any movement ina 2 hour window st any point in the day it's normal. I was worried too and that's what the doctor told me.

When I feel her move I start timing and counting to make sure 😊

I'm 38+3 and I went into L&D last night because my son didn't move for 2 days I had only felt hiccups...  Well he was fine she said he's just running out of room & that he was moving it was just so little I couldn't feel it.  But I feel it's better safe than sorry...

Better safe than sorry! Try to drink something with caffeine and lay down and if baby doesn't start moving after a bit I'd call L&D.

Always call- reduced movement is normal but it can also mean other things so call and get checked just in case and it will ease your
Mind!

I'm the same way. Usually when I get paranoid I'll drink a sprite or eat something and wait to see if she moves. It usually works.

My doctor told me to call if I felt reduced movement. Maybe you should call them just to make sure. Better safe than sorry.

I'm 37 weeks and literally JUST called the OB for this exact reason. They went through the whole kick count with me again- 10 movements in 2 hours and said if it's less than that to call back or come in.  I feel like I'm just being paranoid asim a first time mom and I know he is running out of room in there!  He is still moving, but it's nothing like before. I plan on counting when I get home from work and will go in if needed. Can never be too careful!
