Should I call my doctor?

So I am on two forms of birth control
I have nexplanon (implant) and my doctor prescribed me the pill to stop the breakthrough bleeding from the nexplanon
I haven't had a period for about a month or so
Unfortunately I've been irresponsible and haven't kept track of my periods since being put on the birth control
I DO NOT wish to become pregnant at this time
I'm a little freaked out
I do tend to overthink but I feel like my concern is warranted.
*Back Story*
(Please do not post rude comments. As I am just looking for helpful advice)
On May 6th 2016 I got the nexplanon, after I terminated a pregnancy. (I feel this is an important piece of information or else I would not add it.) I had breakthrough bleeding for 2 months that is when I finally called my doctor and told her I'd like something to be done (Who likes being on their period for TWO MONTHS) She prescribed me three months worth of the birth control pill. I have since been "taking" both. Everyday. Now she told me not too worry too much about taking the pill at the same time because I had the nexplanon, just as long as I took it everyday I should be okay.
May 6th will forever be a regret of mine
I did not want to go through that
It was the most traumatic experience
His parents made the decision for me, and in my opinion forced me to do it.
I feel like a piece of shit. Trust me
I don't ever want to feel that again so I am not ready for pregnancy at this time in my life
My fear is warranted because we have unprotected sex
Every time we have sex
And he does not pull out
Stupid I know
What should I do
Should I call my doctor?
Or wait it out
Because a lot of people say it's normal to not have a period while on nexplanon
