What would you do?

So say you're pregnant with triplets. You go into a doctors appointment and they tell you to abort one of them to give a better chance for the surviving two. What would you do?

It's called selective reduction and it really is dependent on the mothers health and background. When we went through fertility treatments we had to have this discussion. Personally I wouldn't carry more than 2.

Yes, sometimes, rarely, Moms can carry 5 or 6 babies and everyone comes out healthy. We see them on their tv shows. What we don't see are all the babies born with CP and spinal and brain defects that could be avoided by selective reduction. The truth is when you carry so many babies, the defects are more common.

3 babies can be safe for some and not for others. This is a choice between a woman and her dr.

Nope. Nothing gets touched. All three babies will be given a chance to live. If something happens to one along the way, or even to all then so be it. But I wouldn't purposely abort one to save another. Never.

It depends on how severe the situation is. If there's only a mild risk, I probably wouldn't, but if it was almost guaranteed that they would die, then yes. As hard as it would be, I would rather lose one baby than all three.

If it is more than a 75% chance of losing all the babies, then I would. If not, then no. I'm fairly confident that I don't have any conditions that would make a multiple pregnancy harder on me.

If my health, their health was in danger then yes. It would be a decision I would come to after discussion with my doctor and my husband. If the three of us agree that it's the safest course of action to have a chance for this remaining to make it. It's a decision that would break my heart but I would make it to save the others

Depends on the chances. I dunno. Its so circumstancial. I dont feel like I can make that decision now without being in that position

If chances were to small, I would prefer to lose one than two or all the triplets. However, I would make the two who survived see the one who died as a hero who gave his/her life to save their siblings

Yes. But only if it were to prevent them from passing or being born with defects. I wouldn't abort for just convenience of not carrying so many unless it was more than three. We have no idea how many eggs I released on my 150mg Clomid cycle I got pregnant on since I didn't do the pre-ovulation ultrasound (I was out of town on day 12 when it's supposed to be done), and won't know until Feb 16th so we're a little nervous lol. I wouldn't be mad or anything of course if it were multiples, I'd just be a little disappointed since I most likely wouldn't get my natural birth and worried about them being born early or not being able to breastfeed. It would be exciting though. Just scary AF 😂
