what should be taught in school?

Okay so we all have different opinions on what should be taught at home and school. My friend had this posted on facebook and it really made me think about like what my child was going to be taught. I'm from a small town mississippi so obviously most people here pretty much were raised and think the same way. What are the things that you feel (aside from reading math history etc) that should be taught in school and why and what things should be left and home and why? They had the topics of religions/sex Ed/ etc and if you feel like some parts should be taught in school, to what extent should they be taught? And what extent should be left for parents? Thanks for your opinions! Just something that kind of made me curious!
