Baby detergent?

Baby detergent- i.e. Dreft. Is it necessary? FTM don't judge me 🙈 I use Tide normally. I'm due in April and want to start washing clothes and blankets/sheets etc. My mother said she used Tide with me and my brother and clearly we're fine ... but she said some babies have a reaction to normal detergents. So do I buy the Dreft and not risk it? Or see how she does with Tide and then re-wash it all with Dreft only if necessary? Thanks!

All Free and Clear is half the price of dreft and cleans just as well. Good luck!

I'm allergic to everything but Tide Free and Gentle and I've used it when washing clothes of my nephew (after making sure it was okay with my brother) and he never had a bad reaction to it.

Most brands offer free version tide, Era and all are three of them.

I don't use tide,  but a liquid detergent.  Persill I think?

I'm pregnant with our 4th child and I've always just used whatever detergent I want.  I've even made my own.  Currently, we are using regular Persil but in the past I've used regular Tide, regular Gain, All, and others.  There really isn't a need to use Dreft or any special detergent.  It's all trial and error anyway.  In fact, some babies are allergic to Dreft, etc.

I've always used regular detergent but if baby starts having skin problems that would be the first thing I would switch!!

I use tide sensitive, in a yellow container. Works great because my boys are very sensitive.
