how far along at your baby shower?

How far along will you be at your baby shower? What's the norm? Wait until it's close to term? Or a little earlier? I'd like to have some time to get things we don't get at the shower, so I'm thinking that around 25 weeks would be good. What do y'all think?

I will be around 23 weeks. the reason I am doing it so early is because my husband is military, and we may not be able to go back home before the baby is born.

My mom planned mine for June 4th.. so I'll be 30-31 weeks. I told her I wanted it with plenty of time to organize the nursery..

I think I would like to aim for between 25-30 weeks somewhere

I think the usual rule of thumb is that you have it in your 3rd trimester. We won't be having one this time around but with my first we had it at 28 weeks. We live far from family and that's one reason it was done so early.

I'll be 29 weeks,  just because the day the location had available.  I was looking for 30-32 but better to be ready earlier.
