I had my 39 week visit today (39+3) and my blood pressure was a little higher but the nurse wasn't worried about it and told me I shouldn't worry either. So then my midwife came in and did a cervical exam. Cervix is high, firm, not dilated- not even a little- and the babys head isn't engaged(its more toward the right side of my pelvis.. I swear he's sitting on a nerve or something.) and that was it. I was getting ready to leave when she stopped me in the hall and took me back into the exam room. Turns out my "not that high, don't worry" blood pressure REALLY worried my midwife. My normal has been low, 106/62 is what it was 6 days ago. Today it was 140/85. So she had me provide a urine sample. Elevated protien(+1) whatever that means. So she ordered blood work. I'm waiting on the results of that, and in the meantime they're having me do a 24 hour urine collection. I have to return that tomorrow and when I do they're going to do a repeat blood pressure check. If that's high they're sending me to labor and delivery for a NST. I'm just so worried. I want everything to be okay but they warned me that an induction may not be easy because he's not engaged or anything.
