Dog: Does anyone know what this is?

Question

I have a 9 month old Doberman and this isn't the first time he's had this. Last time it went away. When they pop, puss and hair comes out. Are they ingrown hairs? Should I take him to the vet for this? I have a Labrador as well and he's never had this before. They're really thick when you touch them and I think they hurt him. 
Also, no I don't pop them. They pop on their own and sometimes when my two dogs play too rough they will bleed.

I used to work as a vet tech and that looks  like pyoderma. It's not that bad. It's a bacterial infection that can occur anywhere on a dogs body. If that's what it is, it's nothing serious but I would have a vet look at it just to be sure.

Puppy acne. Very common in that breed and pits. Clean area with unscented antibacterial soap and pat it dry. If he rubs at it he'll need a cone. 
This could be early indication of environmental or food allergy. Wash food bowls in between meals and if he likes to burry his face in the kibble feed him on a flatter surface so it doesn't rub on chin.

My pitbull puppy used to get what the vet called "puppy pimples" lol. The vet said they are totally normal and my dog will grow out of getting em. But my dogs never popped with puss or anything, they would just disappear and reappear here and there.

Our lab gets them but it's from an allergy to something in the grass

It may be a bacterial infection. My black labs got it before and I took him to the vet. It's been awhile since I took him but I do know he got antibiotics for it.

Probably just ingrown hairs. Maybe rub him more vigorously in that area when you are playing with him or petting him to help the skin slough off. (When they aren't painful)
