in case you're wondering, round ligament pain in early pregnancy is totally normal!

So I've been having these quick, sharp jabs of pain a few to several times a day for about a week now. At first I thought I might have an ectopic, but then I realized the pain is on both sides and anywhere from the middle out to my hips. So I tried googling it and round ligament pain came up but it said it's too early for that so I was kinda freaking out. I saw my midwife today (6w 3d) because I have a yeast infection that just isn't going away, and I told her about the pain and she said it's very normal, even this early and that most of her patients get it about now. Your uterus starts stretching and moving pretty early. So I feel a thousand times better now! She did an internal exam and said everything looked fine aside from the yeast so all is well. I go back in exactly two weeks for my first prenatal visit so I'm pretty excited!
Every little cramp and twinge is scary in early pregnancy but it's important to remember that it's normal. As long as you're not having severe cramps and as long as it's not accompanied by red bleeding or heavy spotting, it's probably just fine!
