is my boyfriend suicidal, or just manipulative?

So every time my boyfriend isn't getting his way or I have a different opinion than him, he goes INSANE. He cuts himself , punches himself etc. And we skype a lot since we live far apart , and while we're on skype , he attempts to hang himself . He's done this many times in the 10 months we've been together , and I freak out every time he does it. Does he just do this to get a reaction out of me? Because it's getting really stressful for me as a 15 year old to be making sure my 18 year old boyfriend isn't hurting or killing himself 24/7

Sounds like he's using self injury or suicide as a way to manipulate you. I'd definitely inform someone of what he's doing in case there is more to it than that, but if he's constantly doing this crap whenever a disagreement comes up.. kind of sounds like a way to get what he wants, to get you to agree with him and deny any of your own opinions.

Hi, I saw on your account you've posted about him before doing these things and you made a list of pros and cons about the relationship. You're right, you're 15 you don't need or shouldn't be dealing with someone who acts like this. He is trying to control you by doing all of these things. If a friend came to you with this, what would the advice be for her? Just trying to give you insight about the situation. You love him, but sometimes love isn't worth it when it comes to things like this. If you're more unhappy than happy, then why put yourself through something like that?

My long distance ex did things like that too. He knew I wasn't happy and constantly threatened to kill himself if I left him. It's not okay, and it's manipulative. You need to leave things with him. You'll feel so much better afterwards not having to worry constantly. If you can, tell someone around him if it would make you feel better. Even though he threatened to end his life, he never did after I left him. He hurt himself a little but eventually moved on.
