Question

I was told they just have to swab your butt? Now does that mean sticking the swab slightly in? or just stabbing the outside? Just curious....I know it's a necessary test but just want to be prepared for what's going to happen.

That appointment is a Valentines Day too so yay me lmao!!!

It depends on your doctor. Mine just swabbed my vagina and around my bum hole. But it didn't go in my bum.

It's like a q-tip size and literally barely any goes in. You barely feel it, if at all.

Thanks ladies for the responses!! My midwife is pretty awesome so I'm hoping it's not as bad for me as it was for some of you and I'm sorry that it was for you. Now just fingers crossed I pass this too. I know it's not bad and I can get antibiotics but to not have it will make me feel so much better to not have to worry about it.

They use a long q-tip to swab the inner part of your vagina, and another q-tip to swab your anus.  I do not do anything with my butt, so not use to anything being in it, so there was slight discomfort, but it didn't hurt really.  She just stuck it in a little, turned it a bit, and pulled it out.
 
And no pain afterwards at all.

It hurt and I jumped a little. My OB did not do it for me cause she got called to do an emergency c section so the NP did it and she's not gentle by any means with anything so that could be why.

The midwife that did mine is a bitch and has no bedside manner. She literally stabbed me in the vagina with the swab and like drug it down. It freaking hurt!
