Can diluted urine affect pregnancy test?

My period is late but I have very sore and swollen breasts. My nipples are even bigger and dark... I took a test this afternoon it's 100% negative. Is it because it's later in the day, too much clear pee, too early to test...? I don't think I'm pregnant because my husband and I protect ourselves but I have PMS symptoms but no period

Pregnancy and period symptoms are nearly identify i wouldnt worry about them. If your period is late even with a dilluted wee i would assume you would get a faint line. Im not a dr but i would assume your not pregnant and are just having a late period and it will be with you soon.

Yes... try to test when you've held your pee for at least 4 hours. First morning urine would be ideal. It could effect the test especially if you've drank a lot of fluids.
