Do you change your tampon every time you have a bowel movement?

Hi, I'm just curious because I don't really have a ton of people irl to talk with about period stuff. When I poop with a tampon in, I COULD hold the string up and out of the way, but usually I just change the tampon because I'm paranoid about accidentally transferring fecal matter to my vulva with the tampon string. Any thoughts?

I have to because if i dont it will come out itself😂 i dont know but when i try to poop my vagina sort of squeezes it out lol

Unless I had JUST changed it and know it's barely used, I always remove it before I #2. Mostly because 1) I'm a back-to-front wiper (I know, shaaame!), and 2) I actually HAVE dislodged a tampon just from pushing out a poo, lol. 😂

Yeah you should change it bc pooping can actually dislodge the tampon and make it uncomfortable so it's just a good idea to change it beforehand
