itchy belly during pregnancy

So Tuesday I will be 12weeks pregnant & the side of my belly has been itching lately. Anyone else had or has this problem? Anyone knows what it's from? Could my stomach be stretching? Just curious because I'm wondering when my belly will get bigger.
