Did anyone else continue bleeding red blood 11 days post-partum like a period?

Everywhere I read online says that after 4 days bleeding should slow right down. But mine hasn't, occassionally it lightens for an hour or two, but then it starts up again, fresh red bleeding with small clots. Im 11 days post-partum, has anyone else had this? Im not soaking through  pads in an hour, but it is like a period. 
Did that happen for you? Or did yours lighten up by 11 days PP?
Asking anonymously because I'm embarrassed.

It usually means you are doing too much, slow down and take it easy let your body heal.

I bled consistently for 4 weeks and was told it was normal.

I agree with the other ladies, though I did not take that advice. I'm 6 weeks pp and just recently stopped bleeding. I bled bright red period like, just enough to wear a liner though the while time. I've been working since 3 weeks and doing all my usual activities. Such as cleaning and chasing my 3 year old. Sometimes I spotted and sometimes it was heavier. And I called my Dr a number of times worried about Mt bleeding and color and all that and the only response I ever got was any bleeding is normal up to 8 weeks. He even gave me the okay for sex at my 4 week check up and I was still bleeding. But my cervix was healed. I had no tears. Just listen to your body and do what you think is best. But if you can, definitely take it easy and rest like the other ladies have said. Good luck!

Agreed with the other post. My bleeding lasted about 10 days and would flare up if I cleaned too much.  Take it easy, mama. The housework can wait
