say "don't worry" ONE MORE TIME

Annie • 23 years old. Diagnosed with PCOS & hypothyroidism. Married for 5 years. Ellie Rose 💕👶🏼 & Millie Jean 💕🤰🏼
I found out I have a rare condition that effects 2-3% of pregnancies - incompetent cervix. It is a leading cause of miscarriages in the second trimester. I have had a flood of support through this diagnosis, surgery, and impending threat of premature labor. But with these people with good intentions, I always get:
"Don't worry!"
"It will be perfectly fine!"
"No need to stress!"
"You're okay. Worry only makes things worse."

Like, come on. I'm going to worry. I'm going to try not to, but I will because there is a high chance at 22 weeks to lose my baby. Don't say it's going to be perfectly fine when you have no idea what's going on OR have any medical education to say for certainty. There is a need to stress bc I just had surgery to ensure that my baby doesn't fall out of my freakin vagina. I'm sorry, but that constitutes a little bit of worry.

I am appreciative of these people who are trying to encourage me but I'm SICK of people undermining the worry I have over my daughters life.
