asking mom for birth control ?

okay so i'm 15 and I have a check up in a couple days just for school sports or whatever but I want to get on birth control and i just don't know how to bring it up to my mom. I am sexually actively and I have a boyfriend but we've always been safe , but I want it more because i've had horrible irregular periods since I was 8 and it was recommended to me when i was 9 but i was too young at the time ..
i'm just scared to bring it up to my mom because she's the type to think that it will only be because i'm scared i'll get pregnant🙄 
How do i tell her ?

I just went through this today you can ask to talk to your doctor alone for a few mins your have all rights for the doctors to not disclose any of your personal information unless you give permission or your hurting yourself or someone else so in that time they'll ask you about it and give you a general understanding on it hope it helps I'm also 15 and start bc for the first time next Sunday :) I was scared because my mom doesn't know I'm sexually active and she tells my family my information so that's what I told the front office that I don't feel comfortable with her knowing so they said they would tell her that they needed to ask personal questions only you would know.

Just be honest. Sit down and tell her you want to be responsible and take care of your health. I think it's healthy to have an open dialog with your mother. She is the only one that can really give you advice with your best interest at heart. Just remember it's hard on her too. Her little girl is growing up and it's not always an easy transition.

Tell your doctor you have bad periods and he will prescribe the pill and she will know you take the pill for your bad periods
