High Blood Pressure!!

Hey ladies, I'm currently 35 weeks (due March 13th) I went in yesterday and my blood pressure was really high, it spiked twice within one hour so they did some testing to rule out preeclampsia, which I did not have. So they sent me home with a 24 hour urine collection test that I'm bringing in on Thursday (I start the test tomorrow). The nurse told me that if I the test comes back positive for high blood pressure or even when they check it on the spot on Thursday, they will induce at 37 weeks. Does this sound normal, the nurse didn't quite explain why they would induce me so I need opinions or past/current experiences to relate to!
