28mm follicle??? clomid and ovidrel

Question

Had my ultrasound day 12 and had 2 follicles on my right, 28mm and 19mm. Is 28mm too big? TTC 14 months, this is my first cycle on clomid and ovidrel.

Update? How did this turn out? I’ve just had a scan this week that showed I had 28 and 25mm size follicles and am worried they are going to be over mature.

That is a great size very healthy

28mm is pretty big it could it could not contain an egg that could be fertilized. It may be over mature by the time you ovulate if you are taking meds to hold off ovulation. Or it could not contain an egg at all. When I did ivf anything over 26mm was either empty/fluid filled or over mature. But clomid is known to make big follicles, that's just a wee bit big
