how did you cope with your miscarriage?

We got the news today that our baby has stopped developing and that I need a d&c on Thursday.
I don't know how to be okay.

I'm sorry. I just had my surgery 5 weeks ago. It really sucks. I can't and won't sugar coat. You'll be sad, angry, up and down for awhile. It's gotten a little easier each day but I still have my days where I just want to cry and hate the world. Finding a support group is what has helped me though. (Mine was a molar pregnancy...found a fb support group for it)

Everyone is different so it's hard to tell you how to cope. In 2016 my dh and I had 2 losses. The first time there was no fetal pole just a gestational sac measuring at 6 weeks and I was 9 weeks along. I took the pills to pass it at home. Honestly it wasn't terrible. I didn't cramp a whole lot but every time I got up or sat on the toilet (TMI) so much blood came out. I wondered how I was still alive after losing so much. I took two rounds and rode my levels back down. My doc asked us to wait a whole cycle before we tried again. We got pregnant on the 6th month following our miscarriage. The second time around I was so sure it'd be our sticky baby and sure enough right around the 9 week mark I saw blood. Went to the ER because I'm military and we have one on base. The ultrasound showed our baby but no heartbeat and it was measuring at 6 weeks again. So we gave it almost a week and I got another scan. The doctor confirmed there was no growth and still no heartbeat. I changed doctors from the first time. This time I opted for a D&C so I could have it sent out for chromosome testing. The D&C was way less scary than I thought. I didn't cramp too much and honestly within 2 days I was able to do everything. Every month that day AF starts is very depressing and heartbreaking. Miscarriages change you. And for sure changes pregnancy for you every time after. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I hate everytime I hear about losses.❤❤ I'm on about month 4 right now crossing our fingers this will be our month❤️ know you are not alone. Share your story as much as you want. I know exactly how you feel!! I went through the exact same thing last year. I had to get a d&c as well. It is a very emotional process but the surgery is a breeze. You'll bleed for around 2 weeks (I did) but I was almost 3 months along when I had it done, and you'll have cramps. The first few days after the surgery will be hard as you'll be very emotional and you'll still feel pregnant. I still have my bad days with my loss but it has gotten easier. One thing that sucks horribly is my husband and I have been ttc for a year now since our loss and we haven't had any luck. Take as long as you need to greive. I'm still grieving over my loss. Everyone copes differently. I was 17 when I had my miscarriage and I held it in and never told a soul. My SO was at basic when I found out I was pregnant and when I miscarried. I kept it a secret because I felt ashamed. It took me 6 months to even tell him what had happened. To this day I still cry thinking about it.. some people never get over it and some think of it was a blessing. My SO and I are now married with a little girl on the way. Everyday I think about how would it be if her older brother or sister was here. Then I think it was my summer after junior year, I wasn't prepared. I don't know if you are religious or not, but I felt like God didn't believe it was my time at that moment but it is my time now. I hope you find comfort and peace. Do not bottle your emotions up. Let it all out and don't let others judge you for your feelings.❤️

I lost my baby a week and 2 days ago... I know it's hard... The feelings seem to rush over you and you feel hopeless. Just know you are not alone. I'm not much help since this is my first and  still dealing it with it but I know talking about my son and my feelings helped... So if you need some one to talk to you can talk to me... Praying for you and your family... I'm so sorry you're dealing with this pain... (and I know sorry doesn't take it away)

I've had 3 miscarriages and i can't lie, I'm not fully ok yet. I am pregnant with miracle baby. On my 4th pregnancy with no babies to hold yet... just know it's ok to no be ok. There are days you won't want to get out of bed, days you just cry uncontrollably and days of pure anger! Just process the way you feel best. I can't say it gets easier, it just is different each day. Slowly but surely you will cry less, find more comfort in life and hopefully one day get a baby. Its hard but it's out of our hands and we just need to process these unfortunate life struggles. Sorry for your loss! Hope you find this helpful!
