When do you typically throw the baby shower?

I'm 20 weeks FTM and my friend and I are planning the baby shower. Well I'm just now thinking about it and have no clue when it should be lol. I'm due end of June and trying to start planning now. Any advice welcome!

I'm having mine next weekend (: I'll be 37 weeks. I think it's all up to you though ☺ my mom and I decided it was better for us to do it closer to my due date.

I had 2...1 at 32 weeks and 1 at 34 weeks and now I'm 36 weeks and from my experience 34+ weeks is too late!! It was much more difficult to enjoy myself at the second one because I was so tired and overwhelmed and emotional. I have been completely fine emotionally and physically the entire pregnancy and once 34 weeks hit BOOM I'm a mess! Anyway I really doubt you'll regret having it on the early side but if you make it late you might not really get to enjoy it!

I'm due April 22 and we are having mine march 4, so about 7 or so weeks before. Maybe yours could be in the last few weeks of May? You might be too uncomfortable in the last couple weeks to fully enjoy the shower, but then you could be feeling great!!

I'm having three at 35, 36 and 38 weeks. I'm a FTM so we are not expecting baby early. I would have maybe liked them to be a touch earlier, I am 32 weeks now and getting a little anxious because we are waiting until after the showers to purchase anything for the baby ourselves- so I'm sitting here 8 weeks from due date with nothing ready at all. But I think if I had had them all by this point I would end up nesting hardcore and over purchasing, so I think the sweet spot for us would have been about 32-35 weeks!

Don't throw it the month of. You'll either be too tired or have baby early lol.

I'll be almost 35 weeks at mine. We already have most of the big things that we've gotten on sale or our parents have will be buying them for us soon, so it's more of a party with smaller gifts for me. If you are expecting your big items at the shower it might be nice to have it earlier so you can be more prepared in case little one comes early or you don't get the gifts and have to buy them yourself.
