Military wives

My husband is about to join the navy, his older brother is already in the navy and is telling him how to get stationed where he is. I don't even know what to expect or if I should fear for his safety. We have a 2 year old daughter so we'll be going wherever he goes. Can anyone give me advice on how the next 4 years will go ?
