"period" cramps when I masturbate?

Hi, I'm 19 and I've been in the depo shot for 4 months now. Ever since, whenever I solo perform by grinding myself against an object, I immediately get similar cramp feelings as I would as if my period is starting soon (but it doesn't). Is this atypical? Should I be concerned? Thank you all very much
