Opinions please, moms?

So I'm 40 +5 today 😞 and been having some impending labour signs following two sweeps. Yesterday I had a bloody show and last night semi painful contractions started about 20 mins apart and moved to around 8 mins lasting 30 seconds. They were bareable but a more intense type of period pain. I was lying in bed convinced this was it but fell asleep. Every time I woke up I would eventually have another short contraction.

Anyway woke up at 11 this morning and thought oh it's stopped... but few minutes later had another. Iv noticed my stomache is really hard and I am losing more of my plug with these contractions. Could this be a slow labour? The contractions have died down but I am now getting back pain.

So desperate to have this baby and really hoping today could be the day.
