Hair loss while weaning from breastfeeding?

breastfeeding?" /> Has anyone experienced hair loss while weening from breastfeeding? I have lost a significant amount and I am trying to figure out what could be causing it.

Omg I really hope not because my hair is finally growing back from after I gave birth. It was at a stage where it was embarrassing to go out cuz I couldn't put my hair down from sticking up

I said yes because it's common to lose hair. It's a change in hormones that causes it.

Yes, it got so bad for a while. I've started taking better care of my hair because I didn't to begin with anyways and I wanted to have healthy hair again. I'm trying to go a whole month without applying any heat to it, straightening, curling, etc. I'm also using a home made hair mask 1-2 times a week till it gets better. I've only been doing it for two weeks and my hair feels thicker and has been falling out a lot less. If you want to try the hair mask it's just a 1 tbsp each of coconut oil, olive oil, and honey and one egg. Hope this helps!
