is it possible?

Is it possible to get car/motion sickness when you haven't had it for the whole 20 years you've been alive? So I've never ever had motion sickness and I've been in cars with people who drive like twats and calm drivers. I drive myself and have done for 4 years. Today however I was with my SO and he was driving, he's such a good driver and I'm normally fine. He asked me to check the magazine for films on today and after reading 1 word I nearly threw up. He had to stop the car! So is it possible to suddenly and randomly get motion sickness? I still feel sick now after being out the car for an hour. Thank you ladies!
