full bladder for ultrasound?

Tomorrow is my first ultrasound at 9 weeks and I was wondering if I need a full badder or not. I don't remember anyone telling me so but I have read that you do

Call and ask them. Every doctor is different. I've only had internals done so far and they have my empty my bladder before going into the exam room, even if my bladder isn't full.

More than likely it's not an abdominal one. It is probably a transvaginal one. In which case, they'll have you sqeeuze out when you get there.

I would make sure you have a full bladder just in case. If they do a Transvaginal, they'll have you empty your bladder. With me, they had to do transvag because I was so early. I'm not sure if it's that way with everyone.

They didn't tell me anything, so I drank water before then she let me go pee halfway through and continued

1   500ml water bottle is fine, I drank 1 L as they suggested before appt and I almost died and burst US lady said gosh how much did you drink (i had to pee most of it out) you are stiĺl full!!!

My doctor wanted a full bladder, but no one told me to drink water. I would just go with a full bladder to be safe. You can always empty it after they make you pee in the cup.

Chances are they're gonna do an internal and you definitely don't want a full bladder for that. I went in with one because my sister told me to and I seriously got the worst pictures ever because my baby was SO squished by my bladder lol I'd empty it if I were you

I didn't- they actually have me leave a sample at every visit.  Depends on the clinic.
