should I got to L&D?

36 weeks 2 days having these random contractions. I've walked a lot today, and know this baby might come soon because I've always measured ahead by two weeks. I'm scared to go to the hospital and for them to tell me I'm not even anywhere near labor. Should I wait a while? I work tomorrow, so I don't want to call I'm unnecessarily.

Random contractions are just a sign that your body is practicing. Normal in the weeks leading up to labor. L&D will probably hook you up to a monitor for 30 minutes then send you back home.

Drink lots of 💦 water and wait half an hour to an hour of they don't calm down and stay the same as in the beginning then I would go to labor and deliver to get checked. Had same thing happen to me, it was dehydration.

At our baby class they said to drink water and change your activity. If they stop, you're okay. If you were relaxing, move around. If you were moving, take a rest. 😁

If the contractions are random there really isn't any reason to go in. You didn't say they were really painful either so until they become pretty intense and come at regular intervals then I don't think you should worry. If anything just call L&D and talk to a nurse..they will probably tell you something similar and advise you on what signs to take note of in terms of actual labor starting.

Not unless they're 5 minutes apart, last one minute, and do this for one hour. At least this is what my doctor told me. I've been having contractions too but they're random and my doctor isn't concerned.

My rule of thumb for myself is that I'll go to bed and if I wake up from the contractions then they are real but if not they were just practice ones.

The rule is- 511; 5 minutes apart, lasting one minute for one hour! Their probably just good ole' BH contractions.
