Do you think it's distasteful to start a gofundme for ivf or other fertility treatment?

ivf or other fertility treatment?" /> I want a baby so bad. My husband and I have been trying for over 2 years and I feel like it will never happen. Been on clomid for 3 months and I just know my period is going to start in a couple days. My temp went down ugh... I just wish ivf and adoption weren't so dang expensive.. I think we will have to go the ivf route to have a baby, but not even sure if that will work. I just wanted to see what others opinions are on this. I have seen many gofundmes for infertility treatments.

I don't think it's bad at all. People will have the choice to donate or not. Things like that are expensive and I see how hard it is for people who can't have children naturally.

Go fund me for things like this are super tacky. Go fund me should only be used if someone is dead or dying and you need help with medical bills and funeral costs.

Everything else IVF included, you should be working for just like everyone else does.

I have donated to a friend's ivf gofundme. I wouldn't donate to a stranger, but I don't find it tacky or greedy to want to fulfil a need to be a parent and to need financial help for it because it's so expensive.

Tacky- gofundme to buy a fancy new purse because yours got stolen and you really liked it.

Not tacky- I have a biological need to be a parent and it is very expensive to get medical intervention.

Tacky- I accidentally ordered too much food at an expensive restaurant and now my credit card is maxed out.

Not tacky- we want to adopt and it is very expensive to do so.

I don't think it's tacky. It just depends on how you go about it. My cousin did one and sent out a little blurb of what was going on and why she had so much difficulty. Anyone who wanted donated. It's not that deep, also a bunch of ppl on a pregnancy/cycle/ whatever app aren't your social circle. Majority, if not all, of these opinions are irrelevant. Do what you need to.

I did 6 months of clomid. And 2 rounds of iuis for my first born son. Second iui was successful. Get Aetna insurance they cover everything😍. My second was conceived while exclusively breastfeeding at 4 months pp. Murpheys law. 3 months isnt long but obviously if your on clomid youve been trying longer . best of luck!
