Spending the Night

So I may spend the night at my boyfriend's condo sometime in the near future... however I don't know the protocols for this kind of thing... This sounds completely silly but I'm just not used to this. When I spend the night is it normal to bring a change of clothes and stuff like that or... is that weird? I have no idea what I'm doing 😪😆 Also, when a guy asks you to spend thenight  sometime does that automatically mean that he wants to have sex or does it not necessarily mean that? I'll ask him for sure, but I'm just curious, that way I know what to expect.
