Sex at 7-8 weeks pp...

I had a vaginal delivery with a second degree tear. I had my 6 week appt and was cleared for everything. Hubby and I tried to have sex for the first time at 7 and a half weeks, and had to stop. The area where I was stitched feit so awkward and was stinging; it almost felt like it was going to tear open again. I don't think it would have but that's the best way I can describe it. Has anyone else with second degree tears had this feeling? Have any of you had sex successfully yet? I feel so bad for my husband, it's been forever. 😫
