ovarian cyst while pregnant?

At my ultrasound I was so happy to see a little bean measuring 8 weeks with a solid heartbeat, but then my doctor showed me I have a golf ball sized cyst literally stretching out my ovary. He said it should pass on its own. I'm my experience with them, they hurt really bad and cramp. I'm scared this will affect the baby. Has anyone else had this happen?

That's the corpus luteum cyst and it's totally normal! It was pass on its own. It basically provides the baby what it needs until the placenta takes over!
Mine was "huge" too according to my OB.

I have one as well and was told if there were any problems I would be in crippling pain so don't worry! It's very common!

I also had a cyst on my ovary at my very first appt, which was 8 weeks. The doctor & ultrasound tech both told me it's extremely common with pregnancy to get a cyst on the ovary that you ovulated from. Mine was about 5cm in diameter, & just full of clear, free flowing fluid. Mine has never caused me pain! Fingers crossed it's the same way for you :)
