Who would go on a work trip with their hubby 4 hours away at 36 weeks??

My husband recently received a promotion at work and needs to attend a company party April 1st. I am due April 29th but he really wants me to go. Just wanted to get some others opinions on the matter!

That's something you should talk to your doctor about. You need to have a backup plan in case something goes wrong while you are out of town. At 36 wks, your water could break or anything like that. You need to know where the nearest hospital is in case you need to go while you are out of town.

As long as you have a normal pregnancy and don't care about giving birth in another state with another doctor then go for it. I would rather be with my husband somewhere else than risk him missing it if he goes alone. Just make sure to take frequent breaks if driving, and obviously the airline doesn't let you fly at 36 weeks.

It's up to your comfort level my bf has his step sisters wedding when I'm 36 weeks pregnant it's about a 2-2.5 hour drive from home. This is my first baby and as much as he wants me to go I just know I won't be comfortable driving that far away and then staying over night in a hotel. My doctor also said it would be fine but you have to get out of the car and stretch often to avoid blood clots and be prepaired to deliver in a different hospital since your water could break or you could start having contractions. Which I'm not comfortable with I wanna be close to home with my doctor and my mom only 15min away lol

Sort of same issue my family wants us to visit Colorado and we live in Kansas to visit our newest niece . But in beginning of April , I'm due April 24th ! Gahhh lol only thing that will keep me from going is if I've dialated or my insurance won't cover me delivering out of state .. 😩

Depends how far away it actually is, but I would. As long as your not travelling by yourself I would think it's okay.
