side effects

I've been on the combined contraceptive pill(rigevidon) for seven months now, when i first started it I had severe headaches and a few months into it I had severe abnormal bleeding for over a month. When I went to my doctor about this she told me the pill doesn't cause things like that. It's also gave me crazy mood swings and over the past couple weeks I've been feeling really down and worthless etc. I don't remember the last time I actually slept and I can't concentrate on anything. Are these side effects of the combined pill?
