tummy sleeping
My baby girl is 5 and a half months old and has been rolling over for a couple of weeks now so I've been super paranoid about her rolling over in her crib or bassinet while I'm sleeping so I've reverted back to fully cosleeping with her in my arm while I lay on my side (I night nurse too so it's a natural position for us. But today she was restless so I put her on her crib with a couple of little toys. She's finally silent so I go to check in her and she is asleep on her belly!!!!! My heart did that dropping into my stomach thing so I ran to her and made sure she was still breathing (she was) and I took her rattly toys, her softy (bunny head attached to a soft mini blanket) and only left her with the small blanket she fell asleep with. My monitor is attached to my hip but I keep going to check on her every 5 minutes. My other kids were tummy sleepers and I freaked out the first couple of months with them too. It doesn't ever get any less scary 😩 my husband thinks I'm so dramatic about it and well DUHH. I'm not denying it. I'm a worrier mom. I can't help it 😩 My postpartum anxiety spikes up more and more with each milestone it seems. My baby is growing up too fast 😭
