condom pain?

Why does sex with a condom sometimes hurt? When I first lost my virginity my BF used a condom and it hurt like hell. I thought it was just cause of the hymen and all the virgin stuff but even know it still hurts a bit when he uses a condom. I've had sex raw and ohh my god it felt so good and wasn't painful. Can someone explain?

It could be that the condom, even though it's lubricated, it's too dry and rough. I had that same problem but I'm also allergic to latex condoms.

Everyone saying use lube but I warm you if its got spermicide in it don't use it. Very nasty infections can follow. I can't stand condoms, all I feel with them is an uncomfortable and sometimes painful rubbing. And not to be blunt but I usually get so wet I drip during sex (not just intercourse). I'm not allergic and I'm not dry I just have pain with condoms due to the extra layer rubbing differently. Might be the same with you. I ditched condoms within a month with my fiancé and will never look back.

If the condoms are a cheap brand they will chafe you even with lube. More expensive, thinner ones are worth it because they make a major difference

Could be not lubricated enough. If it's textured it could be too rough. Or maybe it's the latex.
