clingy child as end of pregnancy draws near

Those of you with more than one child... was your child(ren) more clingy as you got closer to your due date? I'm 36 weeks 3 days with my second child and the past few days my son has been all over me. He is 3 and of course I don't mind my 'bubba loves' one bit I'm just curious. Lol For example, last night my son cried for an hour in his bed crying for me and even hyperventilating. I had to go and soothe him. Normally if he is in a fussy mood he might fuss for 3-5 minutes then be right to sleep. Then this morning at 6am he woke up crying for me. My husband had to go into his room and get him and bring him to me and he ended up wrapping my arm around him and he went right to sleep again. He is NEVER this much of a mommas boy. You could normally even ask him if he's a mommas boy and he will tell you he is a daddy's boy but lately he says mommas boy and doesn't want to cuddle daddy at all.
