Extremely high glucose at 34 weeks?

I had my GD test at 27 weeks and all was clear, I'm now 34 weeks and have just tested completely off the scale for glucose in a urine sample.

I didn't have anything sugary before so this is obviously a concern.  Has anyone else been in this position?

Please share your experience.

Just start a GD diet and your blood sugar should go down.  If it's too high, lower your carb intake.  It's a game of trial and error really. If you are stressed or are not sleeping well, your blood sugar will go up, so that might be a contributing factor.  Just cut down on your carbs until your levels become more normal.

I did test positive for gestational diabetes at 27 weeks, but from what I understand, ALL pregnant women (regardless of whether they were diagnosed at 27 - 28 weeks) develop insulin resistance as the pregnancy progresses much later and this is completely normal, but perhaps you have late onset GD? What did your doctor say? You may just need to just adjust your diet or go on medication the last 6 weeks of pregnancy.
