opinions on extended family and friends kissing baby?

What are your opinions on friends and family that is not you or DH kissing your newborn baby? & why?

If you're against how do you 'police' this ?

Just say please don't, the flu and strep is going around and I don't want to risk him getting it. I don't mind people holding him and loving him, but right now even I'm being extra cautious because of the flu and all.

Forehead kisses or feet kisses,  definately not hands or mouth.  And i just say it, no need to do anything else.

Not a fan as the possible risk of herpes (which is very serious in a young baby) or even just regular germs is not one I'm willing to take. I'll just be the jerk and tell them to wash their hands and not kiss him/her.

It never bothered me before, but with my last, I'm a freak about germs and sickness. I won't even let somebody hold him if they've been around somebody sick. Let alone kiss him. Nope!

Not a parent but I understand the concern, especially with germs and possibly getting the baby sick.

I also think it might be a good idea for consent purposes? Like, only kissing a relative thats a kid only when the kid is okay with it and can consent to it. It always irks me when family members force their kids to hug/kiss relatives when they're visibility opposed to it.

NO ONE besides my self and the people I live with will be allowed to kiss my son on his face. Herpes simplex A is detrimental to babies and I also don't want him getting sick from strep/the flu/a cold... anything. So only people who I know are healthy can his him on his face.

I am only 14 weeks and I have already made it very clear to both my family and my boyfriend's that the only people kissing our baby will be us. His mom, my grandmother, and my mom all three tried telling me I shouldn't be that way but idc 🤷🏻‍♀️ my baby's health comes before their wants, and if they can't help me keep him/her healthy & safe then they shouldn't be around.

Harsh I know, but it's just how I feel, lol.

I personally don't care if they are actual family. Grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles, etc. 
If they're my husbands friends from work, no. Please don't kiss my child. 
Maybe I'll feel differently once my baby is actually here 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don't care personally, but my sister did and just would hold her sons when she was around people she didn't want touching him. When people asked to hold him she oils politely refuse.

Kiss the feet, not the hands. Me and my husband kiss him, but anyone else. 🚫
