First cycle of birth control

It's my first cycle of birth control and I think I'm due to start my period on the 23rd or 24th. I'm not sure if I am experiencing implantation bleeding or if it's my body trying to regulate. Early this morning when I wiped there was a little bit of brownish blood. I thought my period was starting but I didn't have any other bleeding. Could this be implantation bleeding?
