Naps after 4pm?

Do you let your baby nap after 4pm? My girl just went down and it's 4:15.... but friends say never let her nap after 4. Then she won't sleep at night?

I don't let my kids nap after 3:30. I would rather they go to bed early than late. They wake up at the same time every day no matter what time they went to bed the night before so it would make them tired and cranky the next day too

We do. And little one goes to bed between 7 and 8 and wakes up between 6 and 7.

Mine goes down for the night around 8 and often takes a cat nap sometime between 4 and 5:30. As long as she's up by 5:30, we never have a problem with her settling down for the night.

My daughter only takes a second nap if she has an oddball early morning. When that's the case, I let her be. If she sleeps late I push back bedtime a tad to make it easier on both of us to get her to bed.

Depends on the baby. My lg has pretty much only ever napped for an hour a day. Now she prefers 1.5 hours since mobile but won't sleep after 3. Has 45 mins around 10.30 then another 45 mins at 2. Then sleeps 7-7

Most of the time my daughters second nap is at 2 or 3 and usually sleeps till around 4 or 5 and goes to bed at 7:30-8 and I have no problems with her sleeping all night if she's really tired around 4 r later I let her nap I'm not gunna keep her away and let her fuss cuz she is tired and if she naps late then I just keep her up a little later before bed but agin I never have a problem with her sleeping at night

Everyone and baby is different. My daughter could wake at 6pm from a nap then and go bed at 8pm and sleep through until 9am. I try not to let her last nap be later than 4:30-5 but if she needs the sleep I let her cuz I know she will continue her bedtime schedule the same

I do, he's actually asleep as I type this and it's 6:45.

However, our household runs a little bit later than most and his bedtime has always been a bit later (my husband gets out of work at 10pm so he spends time with him after work, and we sleep in since I work from home).

Even when he goes to bed early though, the late naps have never bothered him. He just grabs the sleep as he needs it, especially when the teething can interfere with sleep quality at night.

I let him nap AND he will still sleep 13 hours or so at night.
