weed while pregnant??

My friends are telling my that if I smoke marijuana it will help with feeling so sick all the time. I thought it was a big no-no, does anyone know?

If your sickness isn't bad enough for your Dr to prescribe meds then it certainly isn't bad enough to smoke weed!
I was sick 4/5 times a day , everyday day for all 41 weeks of my first pregnancy. The nausea stayed with me the whole time. It was miserable but never did I consider anything that goes against Drs advice.

My friend smoked while pregnant over 15 years ago. Her son has pretty severe autism.  The child's father also was into drugs before and while they conceived. She looks back and completely blames herself for any issues he has now. I don't know if the marijuana or anything his father was doing at the time of concieving is the reason, but for me personally, the risk is too high. But I agree with other commenters that speaking with your doctor is your best bet and like everyone else said. If your state does mandatory drug testing on baby and baby comes up positive, you could lose custody of the baby. Please do your research and speak with a medical professional before making any decisions on smoking/eating marijuana.

Nah, just don't do it.
I'm a big marijuana advocate in general, but not when pregnant.
I smoked more than anybody I know before I was pregnant, and I quit almost as soon as I found out. (It took a couple of days just cutting back, but I was completely rid of the habit by 8 weeks) It's not addictive, but it's not easy to stop doing something once a habit has formed, I get that. Honestly quitting cigarettes was WAY easier than quitting weed, but I'm sure my baby boy is greatful to not have smoke filling his lungs at all.
Of course I know women who smoked all through pregnancy, and while the children are fine, it's not worth the possible risks.
There isn't enough solid research to support it either way, and until there is, I will personally stay away from it.
Of course in the end it's your choice, and if you do decide to smoke, I would advise stopping before you hit 20 weeks, otherwise it will be in babies system if they decide to drug test (which they usually will if the mother has failed at any point during pregnancy)

Don't do it, people told me the same thing and I refuse to let my child feel uncomfortable and feeling weird inside of me cause I can't handle being sick.

Absolutely NOT. And who ever gave you this advice doesn't care about you or your baby. Your child could be taken away from you if you test positive for drugs.

Ask your dr what you should do about extreme morning sickness. Don't just start taking marihuana... I know 2 women who used it during pregnancy and both their kids where born over a month early. I wouldn't risk it if i where you!

Although it is proven thc helps with nausea and increases appetite if your state drug tests after birth the baby will come back positive an they can take the baby. It's not worth the risk in my book. I asked my doc for anti nausea meds an they've helped a ton!
