Parenting and Pregnant
So we all know that final trimester is like the longest and exhausting. I'm up all night to pee. But suddenly my 3 year old son has decided to be awake before God.
He's always been a great sleeper. But this up before the sun rises, fits because it's nighttime, and by the time I get him back down, the sun is rising so he's like sun is up, I'm up.
Doesn't matter how late he goes to bed. Doesn't seem to matter how short his nap is. Doesn't matter how much energy he gets out playing hard. He's up before my husband even has to get ready for work and it is wearing me down. I don't think it will be as bad when I have to get up anyways for the baby to eat. But right now, this sudden need to be 100 speed before daybreak is killing me.
I've looked at the sleep training clocks. They are outrageously priced and I'm
Not sure he'd listen to them. We've got a bed tent for his bed to block the light and blackout curtains. Sometimes I'm so beat from no sleep that I just turn cartoons on. On the RARE occasion he makes it to 7:30 or 8, I'm totally fine. And the time change coming up, oye I'm dreading it.
He woke us up in the wee hours of the morning and it took fracking forever to get him down. And when we did, it was 20 minutes before sunup. I'm trying not to be mad. Like it's the middle of the freaking night. Put your butt in the bed and stay there. His room is set up so he could play alone, but he won't until he's woken the entire house. Like I said, he used to sleep fine or at least until morning a decent hour. Maybe it's the exhaustion from the pregnancy,
My husband has a high stress job. And it's getting to him too. I don't mind an early riser, but seriously, I need him to start sleeping until a decent hour. And 4-5 am isn't it.
