Correctional Nurses?

Anyone here a correctional nurse? Ever been one? I'm just looking for someone to tell me about their job, if they liked it, was the pay worth it, and on a scale from 1-10 (ten being the best) how safe did you feel on average doing your job on site?

My sister is a correctional Nurse Practitioner, but she has told me many times that the nurses get paid bank at the prison. She said she's never not felt safe, most of the problems come from the nurses connecting with the patients and creating unprofessional relationships. The last two nurses they have hired had to be fired and one is on trial because she had sex with an inmate.

Having sex with an inmate is illegal because they can't give consent legally, so just know that if you attach easily, it maybe better to go somewhere else. She loves her job tho! Not as much patient satisfaction to deal with lol

Be careful. My dad worked at a prison for 12 years, it's not a fun place to work. It's very dark and the inmates will treat you like crap.
