it takes your body 6months to a year for your body to ajdust. i had mirena and it stopped them 2-3 months after, but then i would get a spotty period every 3 ish months. then i got skyla and  i might of skipped a period or 2 in the past year i've had it.

Had mine for almost exactly 5 years and I  completely stopped having my periods after about 2 years of having it. I think it just depends on the person though.
